Language Skills Component of the Faculty Grant Proposal of Accelerating Higher
Education Expansion and Development Operation (AHEAD) Project in 2019. The
proposal won the grant of 100 million SL Rupees, and 10 million was allocated
for the project activity in Improving English Language Skills.

4. Initiating
and developing the DELT website in the Official Campus website with all the
technical requirements with the assistance from the DELT and IT staff.
I coordinated the development and designing of the
department web pages carefully and successfully published them with all the
needed information.
5. Resource
person for using Web Apps like Google Forms in developing and conducting 1)
Oral and 2) Listening Tests for the In-course Assessment activities of the DELT
to manage the Covid 19 Pandemic situation assistance from the DELT staff.
There are around 800 students from all three
faculties to attend both the oral and listening tests each year, and there are
five permanent and three temporary staff in the department. These online
assessment methods immensely helped solve spending staff time physically with
each student for conducting individual oral tests during this pandemic
situation.
6. Resource person for Teaching English Language
Skills using ELT and ELL software to the school Principals of the Northern
Province, Sri Lanka. It was held from December 2010 to January 2011.

7. The Campus Representative for the University Test
of English Language – an Online Examination conducted at the National Level
2011-2013.
I organised the computer labs at the campus, running
the tests for around 400 students per year and coordinating the programme at
the national level by attending the meetings and workshops at the UGC.
